Making a Difference
What is the Child Advocacy Center?
The Child Advocacy Center of Tuscola County (CAC) is a place of hope and healing for children who have experienced sexual/physical abuse and neglect in our community. They aim to reduce the trauma these children face during investigations and interventions.
The CAC provides a safe, child-friendly environment where children can tell their story one time, at one place, to one person; who is a specially trained professional.
In 2025, the CAC forensically interviewed 163 children reporting abuse. These Forensic Interviews have lead to numerous arrests and prosecutions.
Unfortunately, child abuse is a harsh reality even here in Tuscola County. Statistics show that one 1 in 3 girls and 1 in 4 boys will expereince some form of sexual abuse before the age of 18.
Your support for The Child Advocacy Center of Tuscola County helps empower children to heal and thrive, while also working to bring those responible for abuse to justice. These services are always provided at no cost to the families.
